Programmer – Control & Integration

Job Description :

Your main function will be to program the different components and functionalities of the lighting control systems in the projects assigned to you while ensuring quality start-up. You will report to the Technical Director – Control & Integration and will work in close collaboration with the Technical Project Managers – Control & Integration.

  • Program the different components and functionalities of lighting control systems using appropriate technologies;
  • Configure and validate the various control equipment on site, taking into account the design of the system and guarantee its complete functionality (project needs and requirements);
  • Actively participate in the commissioning and integration of projects while being in solution mode;
  • Coordinate with the internal team as well as the various trades the efficient delivery of projects using a structured approach (schedules, precise expectations, clear communications, close follow-ups, etc.);
  • Actively participate in the research and development of solutions;
  • Offer your expertise and assistance to clients and the team throughout the completion of projects
  • Plan, coordinate and ensure compliance with schedules: timesheet, schedule completion/acceptance documents, obtaining preliminary documents:
  • Manage the preparation of tools and materials for programming;
  • Collaborate with the technical director – control & integration and his team to:
    • Ensure technical standards related to programming;
    • Disseminate standards and vocabulary;
    • Respond to client’s needs.
  • Keep your technical knowledge up to date and share with your work colleagues;
  • Work closely with all stakeholders in the company to ensure excellent quality customer service.

In our eyes, you are a dazzling candidate if:

  • You have already worked in lighting and control system commissioning installations in the development field;
  • You have home automation/building automation/audiovisual experience (Asset);
  • You demonstrate through your professional experience that you have the following knowledge:
    • Control cabling (data/network) in lighting and lighting system
    • Basic notions of electricity and electronics
    • DMX and Ethernet connections, as well as testing/validation procedures
    • Lighting system programming based on language protocols, cabling and commissioning type: DMX512/RDM (configuration, monitoring and control), and Ethernet (BACnet, Art-Net, KiNet, SACN)
    • The nomenclature, protocols and addressing of lighting devices and components
    • Control products and the installation of their software as well as their configuration
    • DMX and Ethernet wireless control systems
    • Commissioning of lighting control systems (commissioning)
    • Good knowledge of computer networks
  • You have an excellent work methodology;
  • You have the ability to work on several projects at the same time;
  • You have interpersonal skills and an ability to work directly with the client;
  • You are able to familiarize yourself with new tools quickly;
  • You are available to work on construction sites on a flexible schedule;
  • You are completely bilingual French/English both orally and in writing;
  • You have a great sense of initiative and resourcefulness with a level of autonomy
  • You own a car and a class 5 driving license – mandatory
  • You have all the certifications to access construction sites (ASP cards etc.) – required
